SERVICE DESCRIPTION
The Target PWR Resistivity sensor is a dual transmitter barehole compensaled electromagnetic wave propagation resistivity system with a 1 Mhz transmitter frequency. The sensor electronics employ state of the art electronics such as digital signal processing technology for increased accuracy and repeatability.
The PWR system incorporates 2 Mb of downhole memory for wireline quality recorded logs and calculates formation resistivity from Phase Difference and Amplitude Ratio calculations.
The system has been designed with the same packaging philosophy as other Target MWD services with downhole electronics being sonde based, modular and able to fit all collar sizes from 8" O.D to 3¼" O.D
The PWR sensor is used in conjunction with Target Directional Gamma MWD systems to provide real time directional gamma and phase resistivity data.
