SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Target has introduced a Slim Hole/TTRD/CTD MWD system that provides the same high level of reliability and service flexibility as the standard Target MWD systems but in collar sizes of 31/2" & 31/8 O.D.
The system is available in Directional MWD, Directional Gamma, Resistivity and PDD configurations.
All major components are interchangeable with the standard Target MWD with the exception of the transmitter assembly.
SERVICE BENIFITS
- Provides reliable Directional MWD & Directional Gamma MWD measurements in hole sizes down to 41/8" diameter.
- Provides another contingency hole size below the current 6" diameter
- Makes drilling horizontal drains out of existing wells with liners to 4" diameter feasible
- Allows operators to consider downsizing hole diameter and still utilise MWD standard drilling equipment without the need for expensive coiled tubing equipment
- Modular, heli-portable design facilitates use in remote locations
- Maximum build rates of 1" per foot (non-rotating)
